What we collect, and why

When you email us

Your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and what you tell us, for example about a home you would like to rent or a property you would like to sell. We use this to reply and to take your enquiry forward. Our basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who approach us, and taking steps towards a contract with you at your request.

When you visit this website

This website is a set of plain pages. It has no forms, and it runs no analytics, advertising or tracking. It sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare, which hosts it, may set a cookie that is strictly necessary to keep the site secure. We do not build a profile of you from your visit.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. These service providers handle it on our behalf:

• Cloudflare, which hosts this website
• Microsoft 365, for our email
• Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces this site uses; your browser asks Google for them, so Google receives your IP address

When an enquiry goes further, for example towards a purchase or a letting, we share what is needed with the professionals working on it, such as solicitors, surveyors, lenders and our accountant. We will also disclose information where the law requires it.

Some of these providers are based outside the United Kingdom. Where information is transferred abroad, it is protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that go no further: two years from our last contact with you.
• Enquiries that lead to a purchase, sale, letting or other agreement: for as long as that relationship lasts, then for as long as tax and company law require us to keep the records.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to someone else. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
